That makes sense over there, but here in the states, where taxes are sometimes as little as 5% of the ticket price, it's not worth the effort.
Besides - and I know this is going to paint me as a jerk - but if the airline is going to tie my hands with their bizarre rigid policies, I'm not eager to let them keep my money
and resell my seat.
