Someone else (another FTer) recently booked an award stay for me and has placed the reservation in my name. After the reservation was booked, I attempted to call the DD to add my HHonors number to the reservation. DD was unable to do it because I couldn't confirm the details of the other persons account.

So I asked to initiator to add my account number, and after 20 minutes on the phone with the DD, they determined that under the new, completely electronic certificate method, it simply can not be done. Changing the HHonors account changes where the points come out of. Their only suggestion is to change the account number when I arrive at the hotel.

Luckily, the person that made the reservation is also a Diamond member, so I should still get all my benefits pre-assigned, but still kinda annoying for the "new and improved" system.
