I agree..

The assumption that rental companies regularly maintain their vehicles according to scheduled maintenance recommended by car manufacturers.. is erroneous.

Plus, these rental companies don't exactly send vehicles their down to the local dealership to get the full on.

They self do it, and having properly kept maintenance records is obscure at best.. With so many makes a models, to have a rep from each company to come in and maintain proper verified records is a near impossibility..
