I saw something similar happen on a DL flight ATL-TPA, a woman asked for 5 cups of ice for her children and 2 sprites, presumably managing their intake of soda. the F/A hands her 6 cups, 5 filled with ice /to the top with ice, might i add/. the passenger starts to pick ice out of the cups with her hands, puts it in the empty 6th cup, and tosses it into the ice bucket [cup and all] while the F/A is in the galley getting another bottle of water.

I just thought that was really unsanitary,she had just placed her hands on her babies mouth... just not a good situation. I alerted the F/A, she replied 'oh god... thanks for letting me know, hun' she just dumped the whole ice bucket out into a trash bag, and scolded the passenger, and resumed the service.
