Apologies; I had promised a New WT+ review in February after a trip to India (personal rather than business), however things at work and home took over, so it never got done.

New WT+ is very comfortable - as ever with a new product there are positives and negatives, but on balances the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Seats feel like they are more well padded, and feel wider (whether they are not, that's how they feel). The improvement in IFE helps the situation - bigger, clearer screen, more choice.

Some cons - still stuck above the wing, so kiss goodbye any chance of a view.

The exit row is an interesting one - it's an overwing door exit, but unlike the 777-200, the slide doesn't take up your leg space. It isn't noticeably colder than anywhere else in the cabin, however there is no window and I found that claustrophobic. The one real positive however is that as WT+ have a proper metal footrest (none of this 'hamock type' rubbish), to give the exit row one, there is a very nice leg support which comes up the bottom of the seat - something the other WT+ seats didn't have.

The other thing that I didn't like - but it itself wasn't a problem - was that these new seats don't have the 'wing' type headrests where a portion of the wing folds down and almost keeps your head in place. There's an angled hed rest which is comfortable, and very nice - I just preferred the wing style.

All-in-all, it is a step forward; not evolutionary, not revolutionary, just a step forward.
