Seats 7-11B are blocked for WD PAX.

From the ignorant how do u tell which config u r flying on ...I am on nz?? Syd Wlg. 15 June in the evening and can't work out which config.
I have paid Works but was going to do WD to guarantee a seat beside me etc .
Any advice appreciated
Btw why when u pay extra for WD you sit in middle of plane and therefore not first off am I wrong in thinking that would come normally with more money?
