With Ontario HST taxes on the bite sized chocolates my all in price for the three items were $12.36.
This gave me 11 base club Sobeys points + 1000 bonus club sobeys points. 11 base points from the before tax calculation of the three products of $11.97.
Club sobeys points covert to Aeroplan points. 2 Club Sobeys points = 1 Aeroplan point.
This deal gives 1011 points = 505 aeroplan points for $12.36 = 2.4 cents per Aeroplan point.
This coupled with the Nestle chocolates which have the 10 Aeroplan points as well as my American Express Gold Rewards Charge card that gives me 2x the Membership rewards points for shopping at supermarkets which convert 1 to 1 to Aeroplan gives me 24 Aeroplan points.
This whole transaction brings me in Aeroplan points:
5 Aeroplan Points from the 11 Base club sobeys points
500 Aeroplan Points from the 1000 bonus club sobeys points
10 Aeroplan points from the Nestle Chocolate packaging
24 Aeroplan Points from the 24 Amex Membership Rewards Points from the 12 dollars spent at the Grocery store charged to my Amex Gold Rewards card.
========
539 Aeroplan points for $12.36, 2.29 cents per Aeroplan point!~
Please see the attached link below of the flyer showing this deal, and my receipt.
disregard the "Starting Club Sobeys Points 3" as I had an earlier transaction today.
All these items are great for making Ice Cream Sundaes for the awesome weather this weekend!!
Start to hoard and become the next "Sundae Boy"!
I have made two spreadsheets which i've saved in PDF format that detail how many transactions you need to do, how much you'll spend and how much aeroplan points you'll net. The first link is if you have the AMEX Gold rewards card that gives 2x points when shopping at a grocery store, the second link is if you pay by cash or a non aeroplan point rewarding credit card.
