An all white British Jetstream 32 OY-SVB – no passengers deplaned and I wonder why
Departure gates 8-10 – another Ikea showroom
Gate 8 was our gate this afternoon heading to Dusseldorf
Saw this Dornier 328 Turboprop OY-NCA and I got very excited about it!
Its baby cousin, OY-SVB in the background
I arrived at the gate a bit earlier since I had spent enough time at the lounge. As time approached, I got curious, as there was no activity going on with NCA, except a truck stopped by and examined the cargo hold and then closed it. At the same time, I noticed that this all white OY-SVB got lots of activities – refueling and pilots were approaching the plane. The plane had arrived thirty minutes ago and there was no one leaving the plane, except the pilots. So it was a ferry flight. I immediately got out my iphone and checked the registration. (Thankfully I still could access the wifi at the lounge) OY-SVB was indeed a Sun Air’s Bae Jetstream 32. Then boarding call was announced at 5:03pm, and even my computer bag had to be checked. It was quite disappointing in the beginning and the plane was really small as they lacked galley (but with a toilet – I did not check it out though). I worried that there would not be service and could not experience all those services explained at the airlines website. Well what can you do? But I at least still scores a new aircraft type – as I have only flown Bae Jestream 41 with United Express/Atlantic Coast before. It is possibly more difficult to score a jetstream 32 in my log book these days.
