I don't understand what's the issue here. The poster has one and only passport - a BN(O). So, he's a British Overseas national. But that has little to do with eligibility to apply for US citizenship. If he is a US permanent resident and has stayed in the US for 5 years, he can apply for citizenship. Regardless of what passport(s) he holds.
