Similar thing happened to me - except it was a finger trapped by a collapsing armrest in the early days of NCW.

The CSD did fill in a form but I never heard anything. I had taken a photo of the injury and the collapsed arm rest - and I just wrote to customer services and they said that the report had never been filed.

But I still got a case of wine.
