It's easy to make remarks like this, and spawn outrage, but lets look at the facts:

To fit the same amount of seats into a 2-2-2 configuration that United did using a 2-4-2 (using the 777), the CO seats have shortened length relative to the UA ones (think upstairs on the 744). Furthermore, while footroom is pretty awful on both, CO BF is actually slightly smaller. Since the space was button sized to begin with, this makes a large difference.

There is no "huge" benefit to the CO seats that I see over the United product. Privacy is lacking on both and is very similar. United's have better length, and as a 6"2 male, that's what I'm after. Therefore, I don't care if it's 2-2-2 or 2-4-2, UA gets the tilt here.

In all honest, I've flown BF a few times now, and the reality is, it's remarkably similar to UA C, but like I said, with a noticeable lack of length when laying down. Therefore, the idea that the CO seats are in another league relative to to UA C is a ridiculous and unsubstantiated falsehood in my opinion.
