Not only do you get better service but avoid the layover at such an ungodly hour in DEL (or is the answer somewhere in another trip report)? Nothing kills a good sleep like stopping over for three hours in the middle of the night.
I had wanted to fly the CX flight from HKG to LHR. But unfortunately, that day I wanted to fly, F was booked out in full, and so was the day before and day after. But 23:55 and 00:55 flights were all full. And of course, I'm a United supporter, so my miles would naturally go with United.
