I've been working every angle and the official word that I received from Fairmont is that the suite upgrade gets you Signature Casita Suite..
You can't use two suite upgrades to get a double upgrade.. and this thread based on the experiences of FPC FT members who stayed at Mayakoba was successful at getting the Beach Casita Suites (plunge pool).. Jarusoba did it on a Centurion promo, coupled with a suite upgrade.. and another lady from Ontario got it during the low season.. Also, I've asked, and have been denied to pay higher room category, to get a higher suite category upgrade.. which at some Fairmonts you can do this..
I booked my rate with Visa Signature Hotels through my Visa Infinite Card.. On it entitles me to a room upgrade.. but even this may not be honored.. If honored I will be successful in getting the sacred Beach Casita Suite.. Anyone who gets the Ocean Front Casita Suite/Premium Ocean Front.. it will be like winning the lottery or something.
I will post my experiences here, as we will be there for a total of 14 nights in July.. Heading to Socal thereafter and hitting up another 3 Fairmont in California in 11 nights..
