I flew in F on UA 929 today which is LHR - ORD. Before closing of the doors, there was a animated conversation amongst the FA/'s about a gentleman sitting in front of me. Next a ground staff person from UA approaches him and whispers to him and his reaction is that he is on "positive space". Never the less he grabs his garment bag from the overhead. I thought he was leaving the flight. No he heads to the bathroom (in his socks yeeech) and changes out of his jeans.

The FA's share with me later that he was some management type from UA and since it is policy that while an employee is in F he/she cannot be in jeans. So the FA's made an issue of it and he had to change!

Interesting move by the FA's!
