I prefer Jenbel's approach and would always suggest it to anyone with concerns about the moderation of any forum; while our Community Director does have oversight over the moderators, I think it would be a kindness to her to try and work out any questions/concerns with the moderator(s) directly before escalating to her.
Except I was told to go directly to her, probably due to the overlap in moderators.
Normally I would go directly to the mods first.
