When do you intend to fly? You could 'earn' more miles buy spending on a VS MBNA credit card (then paying it off every month so you don't get charged interest). This will add points, plus shopping through the online portal can earn you loads of miles/points. I bought some ink for my printer for around £50 and got nearly 1000 points (16points/ £1 spend).

Okay, it's not as good as buying them, but if you need to buy the product anyway, then definitely use the VS portal.

I am also collecting points for an UC return ticket, but as I'm still on 28,000 I haven't looked into the cheapest/best way of using the points yet.
