Your story about the Silver Kris at Changi made me smile ... SQ really know how to treat their own customers well and others ... not so well. I had a nightmare code share flight with them from AKL-SIN-BKK a couple of years ago using a NZ ticket.

I know Changi may not be worth leaving but here's a great hotel in Singapore - The Rendezvous. 5 star luxury. Corner of Ben Coolen Street, right across from a major food court/hang out. In their complex, there's a ultra cool and cheap 24 hour internet cafe. The hotel usually runs S$130/night, booking an internet special.
