Thanks for the info. It looks like the Oyster card is indeed the way to go. I'll probably end up buying a 2 month card to start off with, and the majority of my travel should be within zones 1 and 2.

Speaking of Tuffnell Park, I will be somewhat close to that area; were you implying that its a rough neighborhood? Sorry for the naive question
