The proximity to LAX is indeed true. The last time I stayed at this property, in fact, was because of a missed connection and being stuck in LA overnight.
LAX proximity, however, shouldn't warrant a lot of focus from someone who won some free nights at any CA RC.
If I have business on the west side, and not on Admirality Way (where my prospective clients are), I too usually stay up in Santa Monica.
