I went down to the end of the terminal there,
turning right at the top of the escalator instead of left. It appears those jetways are actually meant for NW and their ferry flights to DTW, MSP, etc. Don't think that they treat us UA folk any different. It was still back down the stairs and out onto the apron for me as well.
MI is serious NW territory. In many places, say, FNT for example, NW is the only major that provides a way out of town.
