Though for those of us US flyers, the jetway is only for show! The terminal is designed nicely to show them off however: walk UP the stairs after security, past the aformentioned jetway, and then back DOWN the same number of stairs to the "outer" gates. In rain or snow, US flyers walk outside to the beloved Saab 340.
