Hi everyone,

I will be spending 10 weeks in London on a work assignment, and thus am planning on using the underground extensively. Here at home, our transit system allows us to buy a monthly pass that we can use on subways and buses.

In looking into something similar for London, I have come across the Oyster card and the London Travelcard, but am confused over which would be a better fit for my requirements. After a quick look at the TFL website, I noticed that the monthly passes vary in price depending on the zones you want, so my second question would be how these cards work if you are traveling to a zone that is outside that one that your card is for.

Some clarity and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance !
