Putting aside the CO argument for a moment, again legacy UA was tough on those without status or of a lower status than 1K/GS. IAD in Terminal A if you are without status during poor ops is a tough place to be. I've told stories on this board of having to endure the ICC, and its lack of knowledge. I am no CO apologist (I am in fact an "out-of-luck" NW aplogist) as CO has its own very "matter-of-fact" way of doing things which frustrates many, but please while I agree that UA is diminishing 1K/GS benefits, UA has never been all that great for the tiers below.
