After doing on-line check in, and noting that I'm not on the upgrade list, spent close to an hour (15 minutes to get thru, multiple times on hold) to learn several new versions of this upgrade plan.

The latest from "Mary": "The plan hasn't been launched yet and it will apply only to Presidential card holders, not to those w/ the "One Pass Plus" card.

Last night I was told that I was on the upgrade list, but couldn't see it because I hadn't checked in. Today am off the list as not entitled.

Practice Pointer:
#1 - If upgrades on award tickets are important realize it may not happen and probably will require a lot of time. This may become smoother in the months to come, for now I'll avoid it.

#2 - If you must call CO, don't trust the automated system - predicted 10 minute hold, was slightly over 15 to get to a person. Quickest way was to call 1K line and ask to be transferred - takes just a few rings to get to 1K and transfer seems to take just a few minutes.
