Well, the 6AM cut out of LAX-JFK is a reduction of frequencies, but cutting LAX-BOS completely out to only include a redeye is...well, signs of de-hubbing, IMO.

UA never had that many nonstop routes out of LAX to begin with, but now they are cutting more. LAX-BOS is one of those legendary routes I hate to see being cut.

Oh, there's one more route on the chopping block: LAX-SJD, giving pretty much the entire market to AA.

AA, on the other hand, is increasing frequencies and adding a lot of new nonstop routes out of LAX (On Sat, LAX-JFK AA has 7AM, 8AM, 9:25AM vs UA's 8:45AM; LAX-BOS AA has 8AM, 11AM, and the redeye. UA now just has the redeye) . Could LAX be the next MIA?
