I just called and booked the Specialty Select (Royal Beach Room) for 12/16 to 12/23. The total points for the time was 145500 because a few of the nights are in the peak season for the hotel.

What I found very interesting was that they require the guarantee and cancellation policy, which states:

USD 13,180.00 deposit is due on Sat, Sep 17, 2011 and will be charged to the credit card provided.
If you cancel before 06:00 PM on Saturday, 17 September 2011 there will be no forfeit amount.
If you cancel between 06:00 PM on Saturday, 17 September 2011 and 06:00 PM on Wednesday, 16 November 2011 the forfeiture amount will be 6,590.00.
If you cancel after 06:00 PM on Wednesday, 16 November 2011 the forfeiture amount will be 13,180.00.
Room taxes are included with deposits and any penalties.

I have never seen a policy this aggressive and I have the gentleman that booked the room following up directly with the hotel. I will report back what happens with this because I am definitely not sending them a deposit of 13,180, which I am sure is just some sort of mistake.
