Anytime that I've tried booking PHX to DFW or AUS, the IAH connections, which I've been doing for years, area all at the bottom and priced $200-300 higher than other options. Most run through DEN but I also get LAX and SFO connections at at cheaper fare (and an RJ from the west coast to DFW ).

Happening once or twice, I assumed it was the luck of the draw and that the lowest fare buckets had already been sold on the IAH flights. But it seems to be consistant.
I wonder if maybe they're trying to force some traffic thru less congested hubs and/or leave IAH open for more long haul traffic ?
Or is it as simple as CO pricing itself higher than UA ?
I look forward to when there is some price stability across the network. If you look for a flight on CO.com you are sometimes hard pressed to find a CO option that is not $300-500 more than the UA options. I have heard others have the reverse experiences on .bomb

Also CO notoriously forces you to buy expensive fares on short hauls but they are up in B, for instance I purchased PHL-EWR-IAD a year ago (Yes, big mistake), however eventhough the price was through the roof I received 150% eqm's and 1.5pts. However just recently I purchased PHL-IAD on UA for roughly the same price and it was only booked into E. Yes yes I know we've gone round and round about B fares but I would just like some stabilization between both carriers.
