Good morning, does anyone have a recent exerpience with getting their Z-Visa changed into a permanent residency permit?
My wife is currently in process of doing this and was warned that it will take an "exorbitant" amount of time (15 to 30 days, Changchun Shi), which would deteriorate our travel plans (no passport during the process). Furthermore, we have been advised to use an agency.

My experience was more than 6 months ago and it took less than 4 days (Shenzhen), without any form of assistance (agency).
