New York Fairfield LaGuardia/Flushing
Stayed at the New York Fairfield LaGuardia/Flushing recently sight unseen on almost a desperation basis just to get a bed near LaGuardia for an early flight. Clean, quiet, hospitable, worked for that. Might just work for you too if that is all you are looking for.
Mid-rise building crammed on a small lot at the edge of an industrial area between downtown Flushing and older residences. We got a high floor with a view of a very picturesque heavy machinery yard.
If you are familiar with New York mass transit or just avoid cabs like me, you can ride the 7 Train all the way out to Flushing Main St., then come up from the subway, cross the street and take the outbound Q65 bus to College Point (I think northbound, with hotel on left short ride). They will also pick you up from the subway, if you walk two blocks and hang out at the Mobil station at Roosevelt and College Point till they get there (which sounds dorky but makes complete sense when you see it, in that you walk out of the worst of the traffic). (Wikipedia insists Roosevelt and Main is the third-busiest intersection in NYC).
Would work great for a Mets game, but a long ride to mid-town.
No nearby dining at all but they have people who will deliver. You can also take the bus back into town, but are largely restricted to fast food outlets unless you are fluent in Korean.
Right price and circumstances I'd book it again.
