Regarding flights, it looks like they are sold out until the 7:29PM, and OP doesn't show any AA elite status, so I am guessing his best option is the flight he is already booked on.
The line to the counter may be long, but that is not where I would go to rebook, unless I was near the beginnig of the line.
LOL, then the pax get to experience the miracle of human flight. Man if someone posted here every time there was a 3 hour delay, we'd kill the server.
