I am just in the process of booking two round trips, one from MCO to SJU, and one from MCO to CUN. In both cases, the fares are approximately $300.00 more expensive than on Delta. As a CO Platinum since the beginning, I am making every effort but cannot get a realistic fare. I have found this to be the case lately on many other routes and trips as well. To make it even more frustrating, the cheapest (still $300.00 higher) connection to CUN was through IAH in H/H class, with a 4 hour layover. When trying to get the 1 hour connection, the fare jumps by $100.00 or so as an H/V combination, but other connections involving the IAH/CUN flight have the V class available as an element. Thus, its the combination of those specific flights which is higher. When looking at DL, ALL flight on the day are the same price and much less, as I had noted. This appears to be revenue management taken to the extreme level where making a selection is far from user friendly. I fear that since all the flights I have been on lately are going out full, this will continue. Another change that I think you will like - NOT. Other concerns, such as 12 and 8 FC seat A320/319 equipment, and probably less F rows coming due to E+, are of concern. Despite my 2MM status and Platinum benefits, I'm seriously considering to status match and bail.
