The extra charge per person is also common in Italy. Last year, while in Italy, we had to pay like 10-15 Eur. for our son (the third person) per night. While I don't like it, I don't mind paying 10-15 Eur extra, but around 100 USD per night is a lot more than I really want to pay I am thinking of changing the travel plan (and I don't even get points for it!) and drive through Berlin, Prague and Munic instead. The price at IC Berlin and IC Prague is almost the same as the extra bed charge at IC Geneva and I will even get points and qualifying nights...

PS. The charge for an extra bed in IC Madrid was also very expensive (I don't remember, I just remember that we only had one night and our son slept on the sofa...:-)).

I also hate this extra charge per person (or bed? :-)) and try to avoid it too.

Xxx.
