"Bluey" - A red head (hence DJ/Virgin Blue)

"to root" (ahem) - this does NOT have the US meaning attributed to it!! If you tell someone in Australia you want to root for them you could get in trouble!!! (or at least elicit heaps of laughter). The aussie form of "to root" is "barrak"(see above post). The US version of "to root" is, I suppose, to "hook up" (ie: have sex). Other term: "bonk"
