i think A330's around 4000-5000 Kg/hr burn rate for a <7 hr flight whereas the 77W is at around 6000kg/hr.. that's why the need to keep the 330's.. however the 772 is much better around 4500kg/hr mark.. that said, flight loads count for a lot on this.. for e.g. lighter loads have forced AA to change BOS-LHR from first 777 to 767 to now a 757L even ORD-MAN; JFK-MAN are now 757L's... if 9W wants a 77w to profit on BOM-BRU atleast, then they need to expand from BRU to other US/canada cities.. YVR/ORD/LAX/IAH with heavy indian populations.. heck even MCO in winter months is a good seasonal flight.. tons of EU peep's take the LH/VS flights from FRA/LGW..
