Opening hours Mon-Fri 08h00 - 12h00 and 14h00 - 18h00. Not open Sat and Sun.

Hope this helps, but do enjoy Avignon and have a bit of down time. At least if you're not driving you can enjoy a glass or even more of the good local wine.
Thanks. National/Atesa supposedly has a tow truck/garage lined up for me tomorrow, but we'll see. I'll be getting a tire one way or another tomorrow! If I have to do it myself, how would a Frenchman solve this problem? In the USA, I'd put on the temporary spare myself (or call AAA to do it) and then drive to a tire store, where I'd be done in about a half hour. No spare really makes it so much more difficult.

And, yes, the wine is very good here. I had a nice glass of Châteauneuf-du-Pape this afternoon. Alas, for an American right now, good French wine is really too expensive to buy. The dollars go a lot further in Mendoza! At least the wine is cheaper than in Paris, particularly in restaurants.

Yeah, I kind of think Avis and Hertz are more like "one company" and National is more like a collection of franchisees from different countries. I called the National office by the Avignon TGV (unfortunately, the city office was closed on Sundays) and the agent there was nice, but couldn't help me.
