I am flying from US via FRA or MUC to Switzerland on LH. Since I have long layovers in Germany, I would like to go shopping at the airport, outside of security. Since I am planning to buy liquids I would like to check it. I will already have a bag checked from the US.

Since I am *Gold, will LH allow me to check in additional bags on my layover or will they fuss at me.

I know Delta and other airlines allow it, according to the flyer talk forums, but I could not find anything about LH.

Any info would be appreciated.
