I assume it depends on what the obstruction is. On the Sensation if you get the first obstructed cabins from the front the obstruction is a small crew Zodiac style boat and not a large lifeboat.

Last time I was on the Legend I attended the future cruise certificate presentation and they had some photos of obstructed cabins, some of them were more of a fake balcony with french doors. You could open them to get air, but you weren't standing out on anything and you had the lifeboat at your level. The best you could hope for a view was between the boats, but as someone mentioned they are quite cheap. They showed some that were even classified as interior cabins.
