I would definitely pursue this, as you have not got the 2 seats together that you paid for. BA may argue that this last minute change of plane was beyond their control, but I do feel you have a strong case.
BA's response to complaints is not adequate, in my opinion. I have had to call in and speak to a supervisor, after my online complaints were not handled to my satisfaction and dealt with with a generic response.
