Am at the property right now for the Memorial Day long weekend. Especially want to stay here to explore Sedona for the first time.
I told them I am Diamond celebrating our wedding anniversary this weekend (May 27), and we were upgraded on our points reservation to one of the larger suites with kitchenette and dining area. Plus a view of Bell Rock mountain--beautiful!
I love wow properties--and this is not one of them! It is dated and needs a renovation across the board. You can hear everything going on in the living area from the bedroom. But having said that, you get a sense that it is a smaller hotel "not trying too hard". Just easy going, in a nice location about 5 miles from central Sedona.
Pools are fabulous (with great weather making the outdoor experience so much better!), breakfast is standard Hilton full service buffet or a la carte. Spa and fitness center are above average.
Tripadvisor.com reviews are full of criticisms about service glitches--but we've not had any problems at all in that regard.
In summary--reasonable use of points for a relaxing weekend--IN A SUITE. It's a level 7--and until refurbishments occur, level 5 would be more appropriate. Stay away if you want "sensational" or new. Come enjoy yourself if you want an easy going unpretentious time in a good location--and are especially interested in getting to know Sedona.
To get level 7 value especially if in a standard room--there are way better resort options. Like some of the Hilton properties in San Diego and Florida--and one of my personal North American favorites--the Hilton in Cabo....
