The point is credited via CX's end (if eligible) and none of my previous purchases ex-MEL provided me 3 points per $8HKD. I only got 2 points / $8 HKD.

Of course I did not call and argue but will be great to know if someone else have any luck with the 3 points per $8.
I called Amex. They say Cathay's T&C is more update. Crappy Amex, usually credit card company's T&C prevails. Post updated.
