First--there is no "Sky" alliance--It's SkyTeam. Second, that's your opinion. I've always been able to get low awards because my travel patterns usually require close-in redemption--SkyMiles works GREAT for me. UA/AA didn't even come close. I've even redeemed low awards *gasp* FARTHER OUT! SkyTeam has plenty of airlines to choose from, not as much as Star, but plenty enough for a "good offering". If you think that DL was indeed worse than US, than by all means preform your own study--maybe your results will be different than IdeaWorks'. I only have a few miles on US (supposedly enough for a domestic round trip) but I have NEVER found a 25,000 mile seat. I've pretty much given up on redeeming them.
