Just because you aren't familiar with the technology doesn't mean it is a scam.
I'm familiar with technology but this thing reads like a Nigerian email scam.
Is there a way to call a known AA phone number (e.g., one
not in the email) and get confirmation that way? That's what I've done when I've gotten an email from my bank that I wasn't sure about.
