Geos and Aeon were both the same company until the mid to late 80's when the 2 AMVIC partners split, one forming the now defunct GEOS and another forming Aeon.
And English Club was also started as a result of that split and an employee who thought he could build a better mousetrap.
Aeon and GEOS had a no competition agreement with Aeon getting western Japan and GEOS Eastern Japan until 1991 or so as well hence the greater proliferation of each in those two halves until the mid-'90's.
