Thanks for all the great info!

My "disabilities" are mostly back/neck related. It's tough for me to sit, stand or walk for any extended amount of time, but if I can get up, move around a bit I can make it - and wouldn't have any problem with exit row requirements - but as someone reminded me, the seats are like sitting on concrete :-)

We (I) have looked at the cruise option (we normally take at least one Princess cruise a year - not sure how long we can keep that up having to travel to one of the coasts) and friends asked us to go with them last spring, but the idea of spending 9 out of 14 days just being on the ship really doesn't appeal to me. It's an option if I can't work something else out.

I belong to several FF programs but don't have any FF credits built up - we normally get what we can from signing up for CCs then use them :-) One of the options I was looking at was to hold off on any new CCs for awhile then sign us both up for one that might give us enough miles (combined) to cover one of the tickets.

Once we get to Hawaii I have lots of options for places to stay, we can stay at the many military facilities, and I have enough hotel points to use for a week if I decide to go that way.

We wouldn't go until Sep-Oct 2012 (sorry if "next fall" made it sound like this year) so it's pretty far out to look at any schedules - I just wanted to have time to work on any solutions if any work out!

I'll look at that Alaska Air card/connection!

Thanks again for all the advice.
