I instruct my staff that if I email them at night or at the weekend and they are wih friends or family, then they must not respond to me. Private time is exactly that, and time with families is precious and valuable. If I need them urgently I will call, which is very rarely.

People take the whole email thing too seriously in my opinion. Work hard, play hard - but live you life and have fun
