What's worse than the emails is the pax who turn their phones on and then bawl "YEAH, I'VE JUST LANDED" into them. It's another example of people thinking that rules don't apply to them - just to everyone else. In the words of Mark and Lard:

On an ex-ORD flight, a fellow pax insisted on texting on TWO phones, despite being told 3 or 4 times by the crew to stop. Twonk. The crew should be allowed to confiscate them. "You can pick it up at the door when you leave the aircraft, sir..."
