I am still FIRMLY of the opinion that (civil) wireless devices can cause zero harm to aircraft. I turn my phone into airplane mode for the duration of the flight but I do not turn it off. If Emirates ICE can be running, so can my phone. Until someone proves to me otherwise, no amount of argument can change my mind.

And Henky: That may be true, but in the US I cannot use my phone in customs, baggage hall, immigration, etc. Maybe I have to be on a call immediately after landing also, so in true time it might be 1 or 2 hours after landing that I can get to check my email again. (well, read, because my phone does that for me )
