[b]Carberry ... Lima is my view was a pretty dirty, dusty, fairly dangerous dump!

Cuzco is superb, as of course ins Macchu Picchu. I psent Xmas day there a year or so back. Stay in the Hotel right at the top .. there is only one, called alarmingly Las Ruinas! Trip report here:
