I was told by a rep today, that they are able to seperate off companions from your reservation and still notate that they are companions which would allow for the free bag benefits in the airport, but no check-in online for them for this to be done. This would allow for me and 1 companion (that I would leave on my reservation) to upgrade, while the others would still get the free bags

She said this is not well-known, but it is a relatively new policy in their t&c on her end. she didnt know where i could find this on the website as Im nervous about something like this if i cant get something in writting to take to the airport in case of problems. I can just picture me fighting with the airport agents as theyll be scratching their heads saying they never heard of this....if anyone can find this in writting somewhere that would be great!
