Could it be that Room 3333 at LAX is reflective of the difference between a VIP and a CIP room - maybe it's intended as a shelter for the great and the good (e.g., entertainment luminarios requiring refuge from the riff raff (like QuietLion )), while Room 8888 at SFO reflects a different NoCal perspective on the different IP's.

Just a thought, and a possible explanation why the denials of Room 3333's existence to full fare F 1K's.
